Bewick's Wrens, like all wrens, have lots of attitude especially in that tail that they often hold high over their backs. I found this one singing on this old, gnarled tree early this spring. When I made a "pishing" noise up came the tail and it hopped out on the branch to see what more I may have had to say. It was very curious and regarded me for several minutes before disappearing into the underbrush below.
